Halter Training a Cow ?

Looking at buying a fresh HoJo heifer as a family and nurse cow. She is "tame" and currently being milked in a tie stall barn. How would you go about halter training her so she could be stalked out for grazing?

put a halter on her, let her wear it a while, then tie her up a while at a time, then bring her out.. once she learns that getting led leads to green grass she should cooperate
