What people don't think about also is they get on golf courses, in parks, in your lawn.

At the ranch we have a 3 board fence that has the short panels attached. The yard is hog proof because they came in and plowed the St Augustine. They will break off your sprinkler heads and make a waller in your yard while you sleep.

Hogs coming in to some portable pens. Not sure what rhey are after, maybe acorns or some thing. I dont have any out but if you put out any ground feed with corn in it they will crawl in the troughs for it and go after the cow patties.

Not only do they tear the sheet out of the earth......
Harmful organisms and pathogens, carried by feral swine, which can infect humans include diseases such as leptospirosis, toxoplasmosis, brucellosis, tularemia, trichinellosis, swine influenza, salmonella, hepatitis and pathogenic E. coli.
You would think with all the modern technology they would be able to infect the federal hogs with some kind of virus that they would pass to each other.... But we all might be wearing masks again when the virus " gets loose".

We do not have hogs yet, but this is the worst year for moles I have ever seen. The yard is a maze of mole tunnels. The hay fields are covered with piles of dirt where the little varmits exit their tunnels. Almost as bad as Caustic's picture. (but not quite). Even the pastures have them and they leave their exit piles at the edge of the woods.

Illinois is so smart ; The DNR says that you cannot shoot any feral swine you see, but must report them.
I think the only report they'll get is from my rifle if they ever make it here.
