Is this gaint ponzi scheme fixing to SHTF. On a fire liquidation sale probably not a company in the market would return more than pennies on the dollar. Scary times for everybody...I hope they get it fixed.......

You an I knew this was going to happen we just did not know when. I have been accused of stirring the pot but I just wish the value of my portfolio was valued as it was some four years ago. I have some income coming in on pensions and social security. On the little cow herd I will really have to pinch pennies as my other income makes up their shortfall. Also value of farm land could go down as it has in the past. I also have some cash and savings bonds but I am not buying any cheap stock at the moment. Also in the past people had felt confident and had a lot of their stock leveraged without stops and when the program selling starts you can not get out without the stops.

Well when the market opens you can place your bet, hold em or fold em.
I will continue to buy.
I will not buy and I will not sell. I will stick with what I own and see what happens.

People are rattled at the moment, i just hope it's not a case of dominos like the gfc. I hold pipeline shares here, mainly natural gas, and have done very well on a small investment. They are holding well. I have some shares in one of the leading banks here and they have been smashed. I only dabble but there is some really good opportunities at the moment. Many companies are trading on capitilisations of just the money in their accounts. Kind of crazy panic.

I wonder if it is time to buy oil company stocks? Looking cheap.

What about pipe lines?

Pipelines change ownership like underwear. Oil company has my interest peaked as it's being oversold.
I am not one to hold on to oil long term.

Me too. I'm doing some major bargain hunting/dumpster diving right now.

I just bought MPC we will see how that plays out.

There is a lot of oil producing countries setting on the sidelines because of sanctions. When the dust settles and they come on line there will be a lot of oil looking for a market. Natural gas in America is at a very low price and oil may go down and may come up that is the question. The oil companies will shut gas and oil wells in if it cost more to produce than operate. This will effect a lot of suppliers of oil well support companies. Oil trucking companies and pipelines. A lot of high priced automobiles and trucks are looking for buyers. This is the same as agricultural equipment dealers in my area, is it nation wide I do not know as my circle of activity is very small. Do not know what will happen on my cow herd I am going to try making enough hay with the only input of herbicide spraying for weed control. Cannot do every thing the fertilizer companies say to make more hay. At this time I am setting on 50 or so head of cows. Some are ready to calve and the rest over the summer and into the fall. I will be reducing this herd to 25 or so head over the summer and fall. With my wife and my spending habits we have enough cash to last at least 10 years and I am not going to speculate with it at our age.

WIth battery power getting better everyday, a Liberal administration and we will be plugging up vehicles before long. I am very impressed with the lasting and longevity of some of these battery power tools released. An 80v saw is very attractive and will do most. I could see a vehicle going 300 miles on a charge and lasting, that is affordable before long. Probably natural gas will be the big winner as the electricity supplier. Clean burning coal a few years from now.

The world is racing to see who has the best battery vehicles and it want be long. IMO the Middle East better enjoy while they can.

"The study found that an electric car recharged by a coal-fired plant produces as much carbon dioxide as a gasoline-powered car that gets 29 miles per gallon, which is a slightly higher efficiency than the 25.2 miles per gallon that is the average of all the cars, SUVs, vans, and light trucks sold in the United States ...Jun 10, 2019"

With the way coal is going it is probably in the way distance as solar and hydro will probably benifit also. Obama pretty much did coal in for now.
