Ok, with full disclosure that I am terrible at taking pictures...and these were taken on my phone. I hope this even works...
Our opinion remains: Hickok is the real deal. His daughters are fertile, medium sized and have a balanced trait profile we like. With his sons, our only experience is in making them steers and growing them. We think there are other bulls with bigger growth profiles and we've certainly seen that but for the option of retaining heifers, we'll take the slightly less growth...and i mean it is slight relative to our experience with Rampage. Rampage's calves are putting on weight quicker but it is a close race.
We do have a handful (15 or so) Rampage heifer calves and honestly we really like the look of them as well.
