First ET calves.

These calves mark a milestone for my program. They are the first ever ET calves born on my operation. Now we just gotta see how they turn out!

I also will have my first ET calves this year, exciting times. I love it how you can bring in new cow families from scratch. I used to keep bees and loved it how you could re queen a hive and in ten weeks every bee would be completely new genetics as the queen comes already mated and never mates again. ET reminds me of that.

I have gone to almost all ET, some minor AI, and a really good clean-up bull. My calves are as uniform as they ever have been, and by far genetically and phenotypically superior to anything I have had in the past. I feel like I am really building a program at this point and it feels good.

I have a friend that continues to say he doesn't see the value in it. Not to brag, but my herd has surpassed his and we started at the same time.
