Hematoma

BrangusCowgirl... I just had to do make that decision today with an old cow of mine, Her biggest problem was arthritis as well, but she never got laser surgery.

I guess we ought to have a collective day of mourning for all our pets around here!

What IS a hematoma??? Does it always have to have an injury to cause it??

A Hematoma is a collection of Blood in the tissue. (Not in the vein or artery where it should be.) It is caused by the vein or artery becomming injured or compromised by disease. A "bruise" is a very minor form of a Hematoma.
