good job hoss on all accounts.....

I use to price all my weanling bulls at 5000. People wanted to buy a weanling figuring they could buy him cheaper that way....

I wanted to develop all my bulls properly and avoid over use too early and ruin my reputation....

my reaction was to say sure....there is likely a 5000 dollar bull in the bunch....would likely save me some time and trouble if you can find him today....

I really like this 3 way! Good thinking.

Thanks but it wasn't my quote!

That is great... I think a few buyers at the sale barn know our stock now (after 20 odd years), and we get good money for our nice animals.. we're usually in the upper end of our weight class, but I would like to find someone who likes my animals and would buy them directly, even if I have to haul them the same distance. A lot of the time it would just be nice to know they're going to a home and not a feedlot.

There's something to say about the Balancer/Gelbviehs... they look like tasty and tender animals and seem to make happy customers
