We've got a heifer that couldn't be bred fattened up for processing... in fact, she's supposed to make the one way trip tomorrow. My question is.. she's in heat today, and managed to get out with the cows in the pasture this morning. I don't have a bull out there, but I wondered if it would affect the quality of the meat? I mean in terms of her getting rode by the other cows and pushed around, etc. She's an expensive freezer filler, so I'd like to at least make sure the meat is the best!

If you could slip it a week it would help. But if you're planning on grinding her it woon;t make much difference, maybe a slight taste thing.
