hefier cow losing weight!

I have a hefier that ahs lost weight..she started by quit eating anything,,I took her to the vet and she has started to eat but has still not gaining any weight, I haved wormed her 2-3 times and have had her back to the vet again..I did notice the other day she has something black looking on the tounge and it is kinda rough....any ideas? thanks travis,

What does the vet say? My only suggestion is to find a new vet

would she have woody tongue? Thats what it kinda sounds like. Also maybe stick a magnet down her
 
When your heifer quit eating the good bugs in her gut that help digest food started to die off. They will eventually build back up again and she will gain better. You can give her ProBi or a similar product to speed up this process.

You say her tounge is rough and has something black on it. Have you seen many tounges on cattle and know this is not like most? Cattle do have a very rough tounge, like sand paper. Also cattle with black hides and skin will have black sections or stripes on the top and or bottom of their tounges. Is what your are seeing different than this?

Diana, What product are you calling ProBi? and the black on the tounge is clearing up. thanks for you help travis,
