Have you ever seen horns like this? Watusi x Longhorn steer

This steer was found at Red Rock Land and Cattle, near Tucumcari, New Mexico. He is a 30-year-old Watusi Longhorn cross.

Same question I asked my friend who has the state champion longhorn steer. But he brings home trophies. :lol2: :lol2:

Talked to a man just the other day said he had a cow that was 35 and had a calf every year until last year some kind of a family pet that his dad had. he said it was documented at U.T for what thats worth.

I have seen them calve into their 30's. Not many tho. Do know of one gert that calved 29 times and only lost one.

long horns and watusi are known to live into their 20's dont surprize me,,, that heterosis from the cross probably contributed a few more years on top of that...
