I have a question that needs addressed. We have an 11 year old boy, who is showing a market steer this year in 4-H, and a question was posed to him that we partly got answered, but the remaining of the question, we don't know! Where does hamburger come from on the beef, we answered, no problem. So, if hamburger is termed hamburger, but ham comes from pork, why hamburger on a beef product? Quite amusing, I know, but a response is being anticipated. Thanks, Cindy

The origin of hamburger is from Hamburg, Germany. It's kind of like all copy machines used to be called Xerox machines, they were the original.
