Grazing winter wheat

A lot of folks down this way will turn cattle in on winter wheat or rye for just a couple hours a day then move them to another pasture. They can suck up quite a bit in that time and the stuff is very high in protein. Just let it compliment the hay.
 
1st thing you need todo is get your cows on himag minerals before you start grazing the wheat.you can graze your cows 2hrs or less a day.then drive them out and shut the gate.thats the best way to graze the wheat as the cows will be full.
