Ft Payne today

Help Support CattleToday:

Thanks for the report, Warren. A difference of $140-$160/cwt in a 100 lb class of animals is hard to get a real feel for the market. Not your fault, theirs.

Well, The $1.40 steer might have been a Jersey. Or LH or something. And the $2.85, a black beef steer. There was only 800 head total ran through yesterday. Going to Calhoun tomorrow looking for some cows for a client, Their report will be ready Friday.

No sir I didn't go . If we don't get rain soon I'm going to have to put a pencil to our cows . Would like to drill rye into all the pastures and get next spring's hay planted but ground is like concrete. Water is beginning to be more of an issue than hay . Just glad temps are cooler and they aren't drinking as much.
