I may have asked this before but, has anyone had any experience with this type of clover?

Never used Freedom but it's a good red clover looking at the KY trials. As long as it's priced decently it's a good choice. The market for 3 year red clovers is filling up so you should be able to find one that won't cost you a bunch of money. It should be cheaper than RedlandMax and whatever Pennington sells (can't remember the name, but Cal-West developed it and it's $$$). Both those are overpriced IMO, and you can find similar quality for a lot less money.

We are in new jersey and use kings agriseeds freedom red clover. We planted it in fall of 2009 so last year was the first year of haying it. The cows love it and it dries down easy. I think it has less hairs on it which makes it dry down faster. We planted two fields with that, timothy, and orchard. One of the fields obviously got planted at at a higher seeding rate because of the timothy sifting down in the seed box because one is almost all clover. We cut the field with a lot of clover three times. First cutting was 100, second 30, and third 25 small squares about 50lbs.
