Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.
We would like to take this opportunity to separate fact from fiction:
There was never a Muslim prayer – or a prayer of any specific religion at the Stock Show this year.
Because the Stock Show is an annual community event that attracts many visitors from around the world, country and state each year, last spring, we established a faith-based committee consisting of a wide range of local clergy. We based our decision on and selected our participants from the Mayor’s Faith Cabinet Directory. We invited each participant to provide a one-minute prayer to include the safety of the contestants, animals and participants, the military men and women and world peace. Committee members include: a Cowboy Church pastor, a Catholic priest, TCU Brite Divinity School students, a member of the Clergy and Police Alliance, Christ Chapel Bible Church clergy, a Baptist minister, a Rabbi and an Imam. Last Sunday evening the Imam provided a very appropriate blessing as outlined above. In addition to the daily pre-rodeo prayers, we hold Cowboy Church each
LIke it or not you are wrong....you didn't seem to have a problem with the Catholic priest, the protestant minister, the Jewish Rabbi all offering their prayer or "blessing". I'll bet at least one of the was probably black as well. Would you have preferred that all prayer have been banned and just have a moment of silence??cross_7":3epjmu6f said:They can spin it however you want but they had a muslim prayer sounds like to me.
I'd of never thought it'd be allowed in Texas especially at a stockshow. I guess that just goes to show how far we've fallen. What's even more surprising is the number of people that are defending it and the others that just flat don't care.

And the reason it happened was because of a liberal, clinton. Knuckle heads like you guys are why we're in the jam we are today. Hopefully it will be your family that gets killed this time around.

Does the muslim religion teach that ? No they teach death to all non-muslims and spew hate.
They attack and kill innocent unsuspecting people and preach it to be the way of the muslim
For the FTW stock to provide a platform for them sickens me
I don't agree with lots of lifestyles but I don't want to kill them or preach that they should be put to death.
I welcome anyone to civil discussion and will be respectful, but the moment you threaten the life of me or mine, you need to be prepared to meet Jesus and learn the error in your ways
You would not know this man if he walked up and hugged your neck yet you already hate him. He has no harmed you or your family yet you hate him. That is not Christian and you cannot justify an across the board hatred of any people this way and call yourself "Christian" !!!!!! You say their evil is a sore spot for you yet your hypocricy can just as easily be a sore spot and stumbling block to someone else.cross_7":7tokgwek said:I have a problem with muslims or anybody else that preaches and teaches death to the infidels
It's a religion that is filled with hate and is the work of satan
The Ft Worth stock show gave a platform to satan
I struggle everyday to be a better man than I was yesterday
It's not in me to lay down and be submissive in the face of evil and I truly believe in my heart that's what the muslim religion is
I as a Christian man feel compelled to stand up to protect my family, freinds and neighbor
I am just as willing to die to protect them as a muslin suicide bomber
They're cowards they pray on the unsuspecting and innocent and to provide a platform for them to spread their evil is a real sore spot for me
Noone has threatened your life. Put your gun away Rambo. The man said a freakin prayer. If you truly believe there is ONE GOD then he prayed to the same God you and I pray to. !!!!!!cross_7":2iwkvfjt said:In the United states of America you have the right to freedom of religion.
