Ferguson fiasco

I'm confused as to how destroying your own town helps anything. I wonder if the protesters are burning each others homes too?

Me too. And burning down a business owned by a black lady seems rather racist to me. Granted color shouldn't matter but it sure seems too. Of course a mob of black thugs burning down a black woman's business could show the vermin don't discriminate.

And the media, IMO, perpetuated it all.

Here's one Representative who's earning his $174,000 annual salary:

Washington (CNN) -- Rep. Peter King, R-New York, said Tuesday that President Barack Obama should invite Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson to meet with him at the White House.

"I think it would be very helpful if President Obama went and met with the police officer, or at least invited him to the White House," King said on Fox Business Network.
Will Obama go to Ferguson?
Obama speaks as smoke fills the streets

"And say, 'you've gone through four months of smear and slander and the least we can do is tell you that it is unfortunate that it happened and thank you for doing your job.'"

"I wish he said one good word about the police -- one good word about Officer Wilson who had gone through all this," King said, noting that the controversy affected both the defense and the prosecution.

After the decision not to indict Wilson in the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown was announced Monday, King put out a statement calling for peace and condemning the national narrative surrounding the controversy. On Tuesday, he elaborated his position.

"I thought it was terrible what happened over the last four months where this narrative was put out by our national leaders and by many in the media presuming that the police officer was guilty," King said. "And I think if we are going to have peace, I think it's important for both sides to be honest here."

I'm sorry, if I'm misinformed, but didn't they have fire hoses in this urban environment . It was 31 degrees when this looting started. A good wet down of cold water, would have been all ya needed to shut down these crowds most anywhere.

Thanks to both 3way and greybeard. I had to do a search for maggies draw, that is pretty funny. I'll bet you would do better than you think, once a marine always a marine all that training would kick right back in

Even though what Rep King said is absolutely correct in my opinion, the "leaders" are in a definite quandary. They could recognize Wilson for doing his job but recognition would just incite more violence. On the other hand, the can't let those committing unlawful acts get away it. It is a "fiasco"!

Mike Brown's step father, Louis Head should be arrested for inciting a riot.
After the announcement,
He's the one that stood on the steps and shouted "Burn this _ _ _ _ _ down. Burn this _ _ _ _ _ place down."
CNN, Noah Rothman who was present, said the mood of the crowd changed after Head's comments.

This always boggles my mind, I will never understand it

I put the TV on and watched a bit of the Ferguson fiasco...it was like watching a movie

To serve and protect my azz. I went to town and bought more bullets. It's very clear that the police can't do their job anymore. There's no hope that things are going to get better. The only way to fix this crap is to kill the bad guys.

just like our rights and the common sense of the general public

:bang: They riot with impunity.
They do not accept discipline.
No home raising is the main problem.
More laws will not change this.
Protect yourself and your property and you become the offender.

I watched that video HDRider posted. And that should not be happening in this country, no if iffs ands or butts about it. By doing nothing we're letting this country go to the jungle rules.
