Feed pickup

Help Support CattleToday:

The 6.0 GM motors are good - someone here described them as drama free, and I think that's a pretty good analogy. Allison transmissions have never been mated with the 6.0, only the 8.1 and the diesels. I think the older ones had more transmission than the newer ones. I pull 24' stock trailers with my 6.0 Chevy on the average 300+ miles a week, sometimes loaded heavy, sometimes light. I've driven most every gas engine (and some diesels too) out there in a 3/4 or I ton, and this one's my favorite.

Used pickups in this area seemed to be selling high. Right around here the oilfield is picking back up - that drives a big part of the used pickup market here, it seems.

I said the same thing in 1996 when the transmission went out on a my pickup with less than 70k miles
Chevy declined warranty and I've driven fords since then.
I hear the 6.0 is good though

I was a fool once and threw money away on a chevy I refuse to do it again.

I did the same thing on a Ford once.
