I hope and pray that all who need a rain will get one. It is cloaudy this morning and we are given good chances for rain the next 2 days.

I dodged the tornadoes last Wednsday, but the east side of Van Zandt County was not as fortunate. This was the same storm system that devastated Alabama.

I've said it before on a drought thread, I remember a couple of summers that we cut down some trees to get us by. Cows would come running at the sound of a chainsaw.

New outlook for the next three months comes out Monday. I will try to post it. Last one still did not show much relief through June.

While the rest of Texas burns and cooks, we have been amazingly lucky in the Dallas/ Ft Worth up to southern Oklahoma/Red river area. Been getting rain a couple days a week for the past 2 months. Haying has started and semi loads are headed out in all directions. I've been trying to hay for 2 weeks but keep getting rained out. I'm not complaining yet because I know my turn is coming. We have drought cycles about every 5-8 years. Since the 05-07 drought I've been trying to get my pastures and stockpiles back to pre drought conditions. Almost there.
