DRIVING FENCE POSTS N ROCK

Help Support CattleToday:

You won;t drive a t-post into/through liemstone. You gotta make a hole for it then put the post in the hole. Or, you can drill a bunch of holes about a foot deep in the limestone, drive rebar that is a tight fit into them, cut them off about a foot above the ground and pour a concrete footing that encloses the bottom of the t-post and the rebar.

air compressor and rock drill take the tab off of the t-post and then put the dust from the rock drill bak in the hole they will be there forever
done a mile of fence this way for a guy a few yrs ago
That's how we used to do it in shoreline tufa. If we decided later to move the fence we just cut the post off at the ground.

I have a t-post rock auger bit and it's alot slower than the drill.
