I plan on planting winter wheat this year for grazing. Probably graze the pasture short in Sept and then drill.
Question: Is it feasible to fertilize and plant in the same pass? There are to big hoppers on the drill and I have to pay by the acre so I would like to save a step.

Any of you guys do this?

your smart by planting wheat in sept.we used to put fert down when we planted wheat.but stopped because it was a waste of money.we would fert it in nov if it was dry enough todo so.we would start the herd on himag minerals 2wks before cows was turned in to graze once a day for 1.5hrs.then removed.we would start grazing in nov or dec if it had the growth on it.we would also mix some rye grass and vetch in with the wheat.

I do it all the time. That's why there are different size hoppers and adjustments for each one. I also plant clover at the same time but I take the tubes off the small seed hoppers and just let it fall and scatter. It won;t come up (usually) until the following spring.
