Research with horse pasture dragging showed that it's best to drag during very hot weather, otherwise parasites and parasite eggs in the feces were spread over a wider area. Dragging a field during hot weather allowed rapid desiccation of the parasites and parasite eggs. I'm sure the same is true for cattle parasites.

The problem is that most horse pastures are grazed right down to the ground. And horses tend to graze right down to the ground. There is a big difference in how a cow grazes and a horse does it. Hopefully there is a big difference in how cattle pastures are managed too.
