MM illegal is illegal , Good people do bad things. Breaking the law is a bad thing.

We need them here, but just need them to be here legally. We need to know who they are and where they came from. When we quit supporting the deadbeats and freeloaders the illegals will have to go home. The only problem is it's not going to happen.
No work = no food, our tax dollars should not be used to feed the deadbeats and freeloaders.

I have a hard time buying into someone who makes derogatory statements about people or areas he obviously knows nothing about. I work with about 300 of those immigrants every day. Some legal, pretty sure some are not. I don't know which is which. Pretty darned good people, most of them, and doing a lot of work I sure don't want.
Milkmaid I respect what you said about the Mexican workers as I spent my summers as a teenager that worked with the Mexican Farm Labor workers in the early 60's. They were hard workers that worked in the hot summer sun with little pay and and very poor living conditions in the provided labor camps and they were legally here to work then go back home. The Illegals should be sent back home where they belong. When they crossed our borders they broke our laws and brought unwanted Disease, Drugs and Crime with them and don't call me racists, It's a known fact that my Brother married a Mexican woman.

Donald Trump is the only Republican that stands a chance, and it's slim at best. The other Republican candidates are all the same, just with a slightly different story. We need someone that's not a career politician, and lawyer.

Umm, Rand Paul was working as an ophthalmologist a few years ago. Problem is, he wants to cut spending, and wants more money in the economy, and less in government, so they tend to give him less coverage, in favor of an entertainer, Trump.

Ultimately, all action by Washington has to result in more spending. Even for so-called conservatives, who want more war, more farm subsidies, more war on drugs, etc, etc. Somebody has to be making money off the system.

And of course, building a fence is a good way for someone to make money. And then illegals will tunnel under, or cut through, or whatever, so we will need to spend more money with thousands of troops guarding them. And then when we become the next USSR, the fence can be used to keep us in!

Of course, few will consider just cutting the welfare that attracts the illegals. That would mean spending cuts, and we don't do that. Then the agencies or companies getting government money will be out of business.

You would also think we could put all our fat kids to work picking lettuce or whatever, but we're too good for that. Better to spend more money on anti-obesity programs, and more money into the healthcare system to pay for obesity-related illness like diabetes which is epidemic.

And of course, rather than have the unemployed working the farms, we would rather hand out welfare, which enriches those running those programs, and of course, results in more single-parent homes, as dads are replaced by government checks. Which results in more poverty, and more welfare checks. What a system!

My folks have many big ag farmer friends who use cheap immigrant labor and live in big mansions. By government providing healthcare, housing, etc, the farmers don't have to pay as much, and that allows them to make more money. So the farmers are actually on a form of welfare, but nobody says anything about that.

Bottom line is that despite the talk, few of us really want less government. In fact, government has become our national religion. It will protect us from bad guys all over the world, it will keep our kids off drugs, it will educate us, provide healthcare, provide jobs, and take care of us in old age, and will keep farms from losing money. Is there any problem government cannot solve? Praise be to Government!

Isn't that way down here. Mexican labor is high...very high. There are no more bargains out there like 30 years ago. One thing about it though. They do very good work.

I don't have a problem with people coming here to work. I do have a problem with people coming here to milk the system or live a life of crime. The problem with the way we do it now is that we don't know which is which. We need to bring back the bracerro program.

Now that is a fact filled post!

Edit to add: Every major dairy around here is loaded with Mexican labor, still dirt cheap here..willing to do what american folks refuse to do. As a kid growing up in indiana, you could make good summer money detasseling corn (hard work, long days). Now it's all done by Mexican labor because the 'American' kids don't last a full day 99% of the time.
I'm with HD, but sadly, our mindset is the diminishing minority in the country (prolly not on this board though)

"The Donald" I cant stand, after the news got out he met with Clinton, now Im really concerned about a 3rd party run putting " The Witch" in office....We don't need a wall a 400 yard minefield would solve the problem it would be cheap and quick to lay down!! We have a few Nam vets on here, ask them what the first thing they did when setting up a firebase. Cleared a kill zone and mined it.

400 yards??? I thought our (Tx) border with Mexico was more like 1200 miles. Probably still have enough mines in reserve though. ;-)

400 yard minefield from the Rio Grande to Pacific

I would think a 100 yard minefield from the Pacific to the Gulf would be plenty. And maybe a few drones armed to kill, to really make it zero tolerance.

That mine field is a good idea to stop the invasion.

That mine field is a horrible idea every time they show some kid on TV getting blown to pieces.

That said, it has my vote.

I too wish that Trump would use a little more tact and still make the points that he makes, but good for us or not, he's not serious about winning. Running is just a hobby for him and he's seeing just how much he can get away with, just for the excitement and publicity of getting them all riled up. He's laughing his butt off after every outrage that people get all offened about. Hopefully he keeps it up at least long enough to keep Bush out, because dog help us if we get a third one of them in as president.

Or another Clinton. :???: :???:

I like the way you think, if the mines don't get em in the first 200 yards the drones will!

I am for Cruz. He is quality and his actions back up his words. And he would shred Kankles or the Socialist in any debate format.

Took this at night at walmart... Trump is now endorsed on plywood tailgates

How is Trump going to build a wall/fence on the Mexican Boarder and make Mexico pay to build it? How about making the Terrorist return our American Prisoners before Trump takes office if elected? What about deporting all Illegals within a twenty- four month period after his election. Sounds like political BS to me.

TB,
Unfortunately, not just in reserve, but we are probably still paying some rich political supporter to manufacture old technology mines (at an inflated govt contract price) to fill up additional govt storage rented from another rich political supporter, or some senators wife. What a system. No wonder they all want to live here. :bang:

Yep...can't blame them. If I lived over there I'd be coming too and looking for all my free chit. Still can't see Trump lasting too much into the primary season. His mouth and no substance in what he says will eventually sink him.
