Dirt for Depression

Wow very interesting. I will have to remember that next winter, next time I have a case of the seasonal blues I will just grab a few handle fulls of dirt.. ;-)

I found the study they did with cancer patients very interesting as well .

3Way....there is a creek bank down the road from my sister's house that the local black folks have taken clay from for ages. Supposedly they believe there is some benefit for eating the stuff. Amazing how far back into the bank they have dug. You'll see someone there getting the clay they need almost anytime you drive by.

The same thing happens in our watermelon fields. People are always just helping themselves. Learned that watermelons contain citrulline which effects the body much similar to Viagra. Definitely explains a lot.

When I was a kid, I remenber a few places that people would go to get their dirt. Grandmother said they needed the minerals....

I believe that in days before vitimans , this was a common practice....

Which is it?? A few trace minerals perhaps..vitamins...hardly..
 
My grandmother used to keep a few rusty nails in a mason jar full of water. She'd drink the water on occasion for her iron supplement.
 
Saw on a nature program that elephants had been digging out and eating this special clay for so long they have dug out a big cave they have to go into to get it..

Oh,if you want a dinosar,all you have to do is have a few chickens on the place :)
 
I wonder what the benefits of breathing and swallowing clover dust has on the body the last few days I have been baling some really nice Red clover fileds and everynite when I blow the baler off I get a pretty good dose
surely must be beneficial somehow
sure am glad we round bale everything now I used to hate hauling clover square bales that dust stuck to ya and covered ya
 
Feeling low today. Think I'm gonna go out and eat a handful of dirt.

I am guessing you didn't read the article.

It's kinda like the best thing for the inside of a man is the outside of a horse..........you still gotta have a horse.
