Here's a really affordable little setup that would be handy for those times when a cow needs some help delivering her calf.

Take care.

ps.
Important note for beginners:
Sometimes a cow will go down when you're assisting her, and if she's got her neck locked into the headgate, she can choke to death.

So before you start pulling, it's a good idea to put a halter on her once you've caught her head, tie it off with some slack to something solid, and crack the headgate back open towards her (try not to open the headgate outwards from the cow, as if she lunges ahead, she'll be out of the facility and you'll have to go through all the fun of putting her back in (which they generally don't really like to do). ;-)

What we do is put a halter on them, tie it to the outside of the cute and let them out. We ease them around parallel to the chute and use a portable panel hooked to the chute as the V. Works great and it's not something that's permanent that would get in the way. Also only takes a minute or 2 to set it up.
