The Ducks All American cornerback, Cliff Harris, was caught last summer driving 118 mph on I-5 at 4:am, with outstanding traffic fines and a suspended license. He admitted to the cops that he had been smoking pot, Chip Kelly suspended him for the first game against LSU and since then Cliff has not been able to crack the starting line up, mostly due to the fact he has a hard time taking directions from coaches. Case and point, last week in the colorado game he fielded a deep punt over his shoulder at about the 5 yard line, his momentum carried him into the end zone were he was tackled for a safety, Cliff sat on the bench. As Coach Kelly stated "Cliff knows we don't field punts inside the 10". Well as of yesterday afternoon, cliff was caught driving a relatives car, not wearing a seatbelt, no insurance and a suspended license.....this equals another $1000 in fines for the dumb young man. Chip acted fast this time Cliff is suspended from all football related activities, pending a complete review of Cliff and his troubles.

So this is just a heads up for you SEC guys, you took our computer thief QB, so here's a all American CB up for grabs, brains not included.

 :lol2:  I'd say LSU or Auburn may offer him a "contract".

Say what you want but if Oregon drops him it won't be for a traffic violation. It'll be because they have somebody better at the position and want to terminate his scholarship.

 my own thoughts is that I don't think we will drop him and if Oregon did kick him off the team it wouldn't for one thing. He's reckless and immature, certainly a traffic ticket would not warrant getting kicked of the team. How many teams have someone better than an all American and a preseason all American? Give his scholarship to someone else? Again my thoughts are that he will suspended for the rest of the season and given the opportunity to try again his senior season. But that might even be too harsh of a penalty. He WAS picked to go in the first or early second round next year. Although we are pretty deep a CB, but still no chance of wanting give away this reckless, but talented guys scholarship. We are not so deep at kick returners.

Mosili was suspended for the year when he got pulled over and they found pot in the car, while suspended chip does not give you one strike, Blount was suspended and went above and beyond to save his career, Moaili didn't will Cliff..... Brains not included, who knows?

well this slippery slope is exactly what many learned people worried about many years ago when the pretense of the student athlete was first abandoned, in favor of the win at all costs philosophy.

keep lowering the bar of standards till all are tripping over it then worry about choices between character and clumbsiness.
