What is a fair price for building a 4 barbed wire fence when all I supply is labor and the tractor and post hole digger? We will use all steel posts except for the corners, and we will have to tear out the old fence as well.

A guy around me that builds fence for a living gets $15 dollars an hour. You buy materials he does all the labor, he builds the best 6 strand fence around, that includes a wooden post every third T-post.

I know a guy who charges 35 cents per foot, for a 5-strand wire fence. You supply the materials, he supplies the labor for it all. but most around here charge 40 cents a foot.

with you supplimg the labor an tractor an tearing out the old fence id say .50 cents a foot. most fence builders around here tear out an put back for a $1 a foot.
