I Have a Registered Angus Bull that I recently traded out with my Dad in Oklahoma. He has developed a crook in the middle upper portion of his tail. Dad has applied Ivamec. Any ideas on what could be causing this problem? Help![/b]

Ivomec was administered after transfer for worming & ect. Thought the crook could be somehow related to a disease of some sort. No injuries.

Dont know of any disease other than fescue toxicosis that effects the tail. they will tuck there tail if there injurded at times was he wormy are was it just a regular worming?

Just regular worming. (Maybe he is just homesick for Texas)
He seems fine however, did notice some areas with lice around the top of the head.

I'm going with an injury. Pretty easy to break their tail in a million different ways - one would be twisting it trying to get them in a chute or trailer. Done that before.

So-so. Took her in for another Sodium Iodide IV on Friday. Just has a lingering infection in that joint. She's not really costing much, if anything, to keep around, and so I keep her. Perhaps someday...
