Nice stitching! Did you use a Buhner stitch or what did you do?
Yes, this is a picture of a Buhner stitch. Actually, it's a Modified Buhner, which is much stronger.
This stitch can be modified to break in the case of a sewn up vaginal prolapse on a pregnant cow. All you need to do is rather than tying the lacing up normally you just take some surgical suture (non absorbing) and use a mattress stitch to stitch the lacing together.
There is a vet named Cody Creelman on YouTube that demonstrates I believe. I think Google the Barth Blowout Stitch.
 
Wow. Cool stuff. I have a respectable degree of admiration for you. Only in my wildest have I ever stitched a snatch.
I feel very fortunate to have never dealt with more than one heaving oyster. Thank the Lord ole Doc was between me and her; having had mercy on my soul.
