couple of british hereford bulls

both been posted on here before at some point. first bull is current stock bull @ nearly 3 yo. second bull is one i have breed @ 2 yo and just sold.

Good bulls. Top bull is better than I expected from seeing some Brit Herefords prior. I'd like to see the bottom bull with more base width and a little more rump to balance him out.

pics make them look worse. they were 34 cm when last measured. he has worked on 3 heifers and all calved so they do work

on 3 heifers id hope so, i dont like the neck of the scrotom... was he fed heavy

he was nt feed heavy but also had more than just hay. does that effect scrotal development. sire has a smaller than av ebv for scrotal size. something i overlooked in my early days

Me too. The lack of base width is my primary concern with the younger bull.

lack of base width has been mentioned before and is something i want to improve. Knersie suggested going back to traditional genetics but my herd is not big enough to experiment with that yet. The british hereford has changed over the years to keep up with continental breeds but now seem to lack base width.
