At what age can i take my 2 jersy steers off of calf starter ?
Right now they are eating around 4# of it each along with plenty of grass (im guessing plenty they eat all the time)they just came off the bottle complety last weekend...can I slowly add corn into there diet and get them off of the calf starter or should I keep them on it?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give

since you just weaned the calf.he need tobe on calf starter till 6 months old.then you can start mixing corn in his feed.scott

I would not feed straight corn to them ever. My opinion is they need a complete feed. Six months is good. Just befor feed a steer ration with the starter at like 90 % starter and then slowly go the other way over a couple of weeks. If you have them up and vacinating give them some probios.(helps the stomach) I know you have to buy a whole tube for two animals but it lasts. You may need it again.
