i was pleased to learn yesterday that amprolium can be purchased in pelleted form and mixed with feed for the treatment/prevention of coccidiosis.
a gallon of corid was going to cost about $85. i was able to purchase 7.5 pounds of the pellets for about 50 cents per pound. a feed supplier in our area handles bulk quantities and will bag up what you need. this particular medication was to be fed at the rate of 1/2 pound per 600 lbs. bodyweight for 5 days. i gave the first round last night and noticed a significant improvement this morning when i checked in on the calves.
