I'm not sure I understand all the Warren chatter happening although some of what I read sounded like some pretty tall tales. That said, a lot of the reminiscing has reminded me how much enjoyment I've had from both learning and enjoying the banter on this forum and I feel like I've been mooching and should try to add to it instead. I'm making it a resolution to try to contribute more to the chatter so that this remains an enjoyable place for those that love cattle, the rural life, and probably share a number of other values with me. Most of you wont even have a clue who I am even though I've been a member since 2013 so a few things about me:
I remember and miss a number of posters that arent here anymore, like many of you. Dun, josephus, Fence, Highgrit, etc. Has anyone stayed in touch with Highgrit? I've met him a couple times and wonder how he is doing down in Georgia.
I'm gonna try to make a separate post about the big project from 2024, saving the original dairy barn and making it functional for today but here's a pic of some yearlings getting some bedding before we got a couple feet of snow over the weekend:

- I'm in Upstate NY, not super far from Jeanne and her nephew, but I'm on the east tip of Lake Ontario so much more snowfall and colder than her place (maybe more like ChevyTahoe on the snowfall.
- I raise a small herd of registered Angus. I breed for moderate, maternal, functional cattle and I finish about half of my own calves in a grass-based system. I sell a few bulls and replacement heifers and this year I sold half my calves as feeders.
- Farming isnt the fulltime gig, but its what I love. My farm was my grandfather's dairy and I've sucked my dad into helping (He also works for me on the main gig).
