Glad to meet another NY Beef Producer. We're south of Rochester so we probably don't get quite the freight train of lake snow that you get.

That sounds awfully close to the area where we went.My Dad use to go to Burns Lake and turn south about 50-60 miles to go moose hunting. That would have been over 50 years ago. Hunted with an old bachelor named Joe Goredor(sp). The man had cabins on a lake.

We pool ours with a neighbor and wean/vaccinate/bunk feed for 3 weeks, then sell private treaty to a small feedlot. They will end up at Finger Lakes as fat cattle eventually. I go to Finger Lakes all the time to check on feeder prices and for any herd dispersals. When we get an odd calf, like one born later than the rest we'll take to Finger Lakes.Do you typically sell your feeders at Canandaigua or private treaty? I'm sure I will find an excuse to meet you some day. I think I'm trucking some feeders for a friend on Friday to Finger Lakes.
