Clover and Bloat

Dun, what is in clover that keeps their tempature down? That is another added benefit that I didn't know about.

It isn;t anything in the clover, it's the dilution affect of the endophyte that keeps the temp down. Anything that decreases the percentage of fescue will do the same thing, i.e. OG, timothy, bluegrass, crabgrass, etc. It's just that clover has more nutrition then the typicaly grass'

If I was going to seed in clover I would use white clover because it stands grazing better then red. The trick with clover is to keep it about 35 percent or less of the pasture mix.

Have you had success with any feed or water additives when grazing mixes with more than 35% clover?
