Christmas Songs

Local radio station I like to listen to has been playing Christmas songs non stop for the past two weeks. To fill the time slots they find all sorts of Christmas songs including some from rap artists and saggers I've never heard of. I love bananna pudding but I don't think I'd like it one bit if I was force fed it like this for 6-7 weeks. Or maybe I'm a scrouge and just don't get it. Anyone else having this problem?

So far the station I listen to mostly has only been playing Rush, Shawn, Mark, and Laura. Not any force fed Christmas music, but I can always change the station when I get ready to listen to it, probably around Dec. 24th.

I listen to either talk radio or sports stations

new music does not move me and I have heard most of the old songs a time or thousand now.

i am beginning to get into the christmas spirit a little bit. have broken out my hat with bells on it for ocassional use.

but I can not take a steady diet of christmas songs. the tv is the most irritating now with the same christmas commericals over and over.

I am SCROOGE in the commercial sense
I will buy my 15yr old daughter a present and the grandkids each get a present and that is it
I hate all this commercial stuff and could care less about christmas in the commercial sense
so yes I am SGROOGE
as for presents
the grown kids we get things they need for them thru out the yr or give them a little money thru out the yr to help them out a little so they get nothing for christmas
The wife has me what more could she want pkus I bought her a new Discbine for her
b-day last yr so How could I ever top that
and there is not much I need or want anymore

nope ain't gonna buy her one of them but she has mentioned that she would like a new skidsteer so maybe I will get her one for her Bday next yr

3 kids 7,4, and 1 year old. We put up the tree and lights October 31st this year. I get all the Christmas I can stand without hearing it on the radio. I stay tuned in to XM-13 (classic country) or ESPN.

Three little ones at Christmas is a joy to behold and quit a handful.

the grandkids each get a present

From the time I was a little kid, untill I was grown with my own kids, my grandmother bought everybody a bundle of socks. When I was a kid, it was in a way disapointing, as a teen ok, but wrong style, and as a grown up a joy and nessessity. It was always fun to ask each other what we thought grandma had got us for Christmas, until one year she surprized everyone with a pair of gloves. I remember looking around the room at all the different expressions and wondering if everybody else was sitting there with toeless socks the same as me.

A couple of radio stations here play all Christmas music from Thanksgiving on. I can turn it on if I am in the mood or just listen to another station if not. But if they play the ultimate annoying Christmas song, I Want A Hippopotumus For Christmas, I might break the radio or puke in my car if I can't change it fast enough......

The sock story reminded me - my husband has 4 siblings; I have 1 plus some "steps" and when our kids were younger we would all buy presents for all the nieces and nephews. So we requested the kids to make a list. No list, we could only assume they wanted socks and underwear. I don't think any of the kids ever failed to produce a list from the time they could write.
