Off topic but a couple months ago when my wife had a 'girl's day pool get together, I had to prepare the eats and she wanted some good tomatoes for a salad and to go on the burgers I had to grill. I bought some I'd never seen before and they were probably the best I ever tasted. Looked on the bag and they were from Canada. Not cheap but worth every penny.

I always thought it was only city folk that used the word “soda”. Of course, that was after I figured out that when folks said “soda” they were referring to pop lol

A long time ago somebody my age now told me that during Prohibition the drug stores sold moonshine at their soda fountains. You could have whiskey with “soda pop” or cherry syrup or other concoctions.
