Talked to some Detroit folks tonight. They are kind of bummed out and figure they are in a lose lose situation. If the Tigers win, Detroit is gonna burn. If the Tigers lose, Detroit is gonna burn. Makes you wish your team didn't make it to the World Series in one sense.

This was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw Detroit made it to the Series. This might be one of the worse Cities to win the Series. Never really thought about them burning the town if they loose but for sure if they win it will be a couple long nights for Law enforcement.

Why does baseball insist on ignoring the weather? Adding two rounds of playoffs has pushed an early October daylight game into a mid-late October night game. In 30 degree F temps. I wouldn't go if you gave me tickets. Its football weather.

I don't mind losing near as much when I have to fold. It's worst when someone beats me for the pot with a better hand.
