One of the biggest issues facing cattlemen is this carbon policy.
The EPA today declared CO2 a health hazard. The breath we exhale is now a toxic substance, and the cow tax seems to be in our future.
Cattlemen and rural folks use a lot of carbon. More than the average New Yorker, I think. We may have no choice but to drive 10 miles for grocery's. The Prius isn't really an option for pulling the cattle trailer. The well pump is on an electric meter. Possibly the stock water tanks are on a meter. And cattle either fart or die. Either way, they emit greenhouse gasses.
Personally, I think I'm being told to bend over. And because this is EPA by regulation, my reps don't even get to vote on the thing.
