we have a 2 month old healthy calf full of energy and eats well. His only problem is what appears to be a abcess in the mouth. I thought at first it was lump jaw but find this to be very unlikely. A week ago I pulled out some baling twine from his mouth and think that possibly I damaged a tooth. Because he is very healthy and eating well can I drain the abcess myself and disinfect the area and keep it clean or should I take him into the vet.
