calf question

I bought a char. bull bottle calf a week ago. It is very skinny, not real active, and has diareah(im not a good speller). It sucked down a bottle right after I got it home but ever since I have had to tube feed it. But it will go over and drink water from a bucket (but not milk from a bucket). It does get up and moves to another spot then lays back down but thats about all the movement it gets. I thought mabe it had scours but i've used the vets meds and some from the store but it hasnt helped. What else should I try? Could something else be wrong with it? Im running out of ideas.

Sometimes it will suck a bottle for about a min. then quit, even with milk flowing out of the bottle. It acts like it gets bored.

If it has free choice water, It may be filling up on water. I'd take the water away from it. See if that helps.

Free running milk can mean that the milk goes down into the wrong place.

What did the vet say?

I agree with taking the water away, but it doesn't sound good.

How old is the calf? Do you give him hay? You might mix some milk replacer with sweet feed and see if he will eat it.
