Hello,
I am writing to you from a European country - Bulgaria.
I am currently raising two Aberdeen Angus calves.
This coming summer, my brother and I are thinking of getting a dozen for fattening.
I grow my own wheat, barley, beans and corn.
could you share a recipe for fattening calves with these products?

Work them up slowly to prevent rumen upset! 2 to 3 weeks to reach full ration.

Welcome to CT.
Those are nice looking calves.

I would use corn as your base. Feed them 1% of their body weight. Slowly increasing their feed as they grow. Most cattle in the USA are finished on a high corn diet. I think the Canadian ranchers can speak more about using barley in their rations.
Raw soybeans are not healthy for cattle and to much wheat in a ration is also detrimental.

Currently I feed about 7.2 - 7.5 kg of grain mixture per head. And there is wheat straw in the manger.
I have heard before that too much wheat can be harmful. What is this due to?
And by the way I have white beans, not soybeans. Should I be careful with them too?
