Every once in a while we try raising a bull calf. We've had good luck and bad luck in the past...Here's this year's try. I'm liking him so far. Out of a commercial Angus 2 year old heifer and This Red Angus bull http://abri.une.edu.au/online/cgi-bin/i ... 9=515E5F5D

Born March 13 2016 with a BW of 75 lbs.

Only problem is his colour... We haven't used a black bull in a few years... and of course he is very unco-operative when it comes to photos...

You have to update this in a few months

He looks good but a bit young for me to say for sure what i think of him

He looks pretty good to me. I know how hard it is to get good pictures of them... I like him best in that picture where he is facing away - and I REALLY like that red cow in the background.

Looks good, please keep in mind that a cross of Black x Red cattle you have at least a 50% chance of getting black calves, and if you get a red one that means that the black parent is hiding red under the black

Creekdrive, i agree i like the same photo. Thats a pretty good cow, but she slipped up and calved quite late this spring. Hopefully she picks back up for next spring.

Gaurus, believe me i know hell throw about 50% red calves. Most of our black cows carry red genetics. His dam included. Wish she'd have passed hers on to him....lol.
