Ok I have to tell you I have been enjoying the comments on these bulls I couldn't find a video on the next one but will post just the photo. I will tell you we used this bull last year I have 7 calves on the ground out of him out of the seven five have performed well enough to stay for a while longer. Again your comments won't hurt my feelings I pick bulls on more than just how they look they have to have the genetic package I want. I don't believe in bouncing all over the place on genetic selection if you do that you will sure nuff have a mongrel herd.

you nailed him AL SAV Pioneer 7301 I really like the look of him and his calves are looking really good so far, good enough that I ordered more semen on him. I just can't see how you could go wrong when you have Final Answer and New Day in the genetic package. I need to get some pictures of the calves and will when or if things ever slow down.

We used Pioneer a little bit over the past couple of years, bred a few more to him this year and flushed a new day daughter to him. Not wild about final answer, too frail for my liking, but have been gradually working in a little more new day each year either through the old bull himself or through sons of other bulls out of his daughters or direct sons we've bred.

New Day has worked well over any EXT / Explorer / Right Time / Just Right females and vice-versa. We have also found his daughters nicked very well with Bushwacker 41-93 but even better with Paramount Ambush 2172. I've used Pioneer on a couple of New Day's and liked the results. New Day daughters have made some really good Really Windy 4097 calves for us this year, I plan to keep one in particular for ourselves (4097 x New Day x Pathfinder Explorer). We've also AI'd New Day directly onto cows that don't have him already including bushwacker x 004, ambush x 234D, Ole 450 x bushwacker and so on.

I agree New Day has worked really well with EXT I think the New Day 6149 cross ahs been my favorite. Most every cow on the place has a bit of New Day in their pedigree. I have flushed my favorite cow to New Day three times and have a number of her daughters working in our herd. We don't have much 41-93 in the herd just haven't had as much success with that bull. Really Windy has more hair than we can handle here in Florida at least the only Really Windy calves that I have seen. Have you found them to have more hair than say a New Day?

As far as slicking off it seems to follow the cow family more than any specific bull.
