Building a DIY walk in cooler - need overhead rail ideas

You didn't mention, but I'm assuming your gonna be dealing with deer? If I was going to be killing beef, I don't think I would fool with anything that wouldn't roll. My son has a little kill plant, cooler, freezer, cut room, kill room, pens, smoke room, the whole deal. Nice setup. I can get some pics for you in a day or two if you want. His is set up on rails/rolling hooks like what was pictured.

If you are planning on doing custom cutting for the public the first thing you better do is see what government regs. are involved. If I was a betting man I would bet they will not let you use the galvanized pipe like you are talking about.
Just my 2 cents but we have been down this road and it can be a pain in the neck.

I'm not custom cutting for the public, it'll actually be a more like a co-op between 5 families. but you're right about galvanized. I'm also looking at some 4"x3/4" flat bar stock with a radiused edge on it. The rollers ought to work good for what I want.
