: When is it too young to brand you calves?<p>We have banded for years as early as 1 day old with no problems. The key is that you must be absolutely sure to get each testicle inside the band before you release the banding tool. Just don't let them up until you have verified that both are inside the band. This can be a little tricky when they are so young, but you will get better with practice.<p>

: When is it too young to brand you calves?<p>You "CAN" Brand at any age. Remember, that the hide is going to grow as the animal gets larger.<br>The hide on young critters is very thin, so dont over do it. It requires a "TOUCH" when they are young.
