Yep it's that time of year. Need to pull the feeders down

Hummingbirds pulled out of here mid September but we leave the feeders up for a week or so in case
any stragglers come through. We also put them up early in the spring. I have seen a hummingbird start
south twice and both times they went almost straight up to guessing 150 - 200 feet then gone.
I have never seen a humming bird do that any other time..

Usually close at hand.
It's going to be interesting wildlife wise as we have a near total mast crop failure.
I stopped putting out feeders years ago because I was horrified at the carnage, complements of the garage cats. They wouldn't even eat them - just take 'em out, play for a while, and I had to dispose of the remains.
