If you don't want that cow then breed her back to the same bull and I'll deal with calf. She isn't half as bad as your post led us to believe. Outside of the calf the first thing I noticed was that she isn't sway-backed and has a pretty fair front end on her. If her udder is her worst problem then you just have to
keep her for the reasons I stated before.

Geez, Bez........that cow ain't that bad. I agree....you made her sound worse that she is. We have cows with worse udders and teats than that, but the last of the poor ones will be gone by next spring. If her teats create work for you when she calves, I say get rid of her. Don't need excess work lying around. Other than that, I really like her...lots of length, feminine, good muscle shape, good feet and legs.
Getting rid of this old Holstein this weekend (the last of our dairy herd that was dispersed in 1993). Best cow we have ever had. She hadn't had a calf of her own since '02 or 03', but had fostered calves consistently since then. Then she popped out a BWF heifer calf in early May and she got to stay around for the summer. Her 1/2 Hereford daughter is behind her and lost her 2 month old calf in mid August so she was shipped first weekend of September, got 28 cents? I believe. This is last year's picture, so the Holstein is in really bad shape now with a calf on her. Could almost use her as a dairy bone structure model as she is so thin. Holstein is at least 15 this year (not sure exact year of birth), and the daughter was 8.
