here is a picture of my daughters gelbvieh x red angus steer.
Won the district 4-h rate of gain at 3.91 lb per day.
Also won the national champion steer at the junior gelbvieh show.

Wow!!! He is beautiful! Did you sell him at auction? If so how much did you get? The market up here is really poor right now. Our grand champion holstein calves are getting a dollar a pound in L.A, At the San Bernardino fair the steers are going for 3 dollars a pound. Unless you know someone with a big pocket your lucky to get 2.50

Was just through your country el wapo things are getting a bit dry. Ty had just finished his bronc ride when that big wind went through the hat on Friday-that was fairly intense lol. That is a good looking steer for sure.

NR that big wind was a real blast. I would have liked to have gone in to watch the rodeo but had two days of chain saw work to clean up the poplars that blew down. I don't know what hit us but it took down three big forty footers. As for it being dry..... well that's Medicine Hat in July/August. We had a good spring.

Hillsdown
Sage won national champion with her bred heifer as well. It was a good year for her. I am very proud of how hard she worked.
