Belt Buckle

Help Support CattleToday:

We showed a heifer and steers. I thought there were less than last year for sure. We were in the same barn that was full last year, and this year we had an empty aisle across from us. Class sizes were still ok though with 8-15 in each class and 4-5 classes per breed.
This was our first year to show heifers so I don't know if there were as many or not. There seemed to be a good number. Some classes were small (single entries) with the age breaks. But, there were usually 5-6 classes of each breed.
I didn't always agree with the judges, but they were consistent and did a nice job. Ring A and Ring B were placed very similarly on both days, with just a few tweaks here and there. Other than waiting on Ring B for the steers to show, the show was nice and we had a great time. The Belt Buckle is one of my favorites!
