Basin payweight 1682

We used 1682 last year and have some calves off of him. We have found him quite inconsistent. Is it just me or is that common. Wondering if we should use him again?

We have mostly used his Son, Tex Playbook 5437. We really liked most of them. Only one dud.
Our lone 1682 didn't breed back. Have heard from a well respected breeder that 1682 calves were inconsistent. There are some really nice sons of his a stud though VAR Power Play, Poss Maverick, Tex Playbook etc.
We will have some Power Plays this Spring.

I have no firsthand knowledge of the bull but his semen was priced high so he got used on the best females on most operations. The ones i have seen weren't good enough on their feet to even get me interested and couple that with his low heifer pregnancy and I will avoid his sons also.
